What could possibly be wrong with spreading a few false rumors, just to cover up some messy business for a couple of close friends?
EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!

Synopsis:

Four couples are invited to the townhouse of a deputy New York City mayor and his wife to celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary.
The party never actually gets off the ground because the host has inexplicably shot himself in the earlobe and his wife is nowhere to be found.
As his lawyer's ludicrous attempt at a cover up becomes progressively more difficult to sustain, and the other guests arrive and notice the absence of their hosts and any domestic help, nobody can seem to keep straight exactly who has been told what about whom.
